What is Formspark?

Formspark is a form backend for people who already have a form and only need somewhere for it to land. You point your own HTML at a Formspark endpoint and it takes over the server side: storing the submission, filtering spam, emailing you, and forwarding the data to Google Sheets, Notion, Slack, Zapier, Make, or any webhook. Nothing is embedded and nothing is styled for you, so the form keeps whatever markup and CSS it already had. Its distinguishing move is pricing: instead of a subscription, you buy a bundle of submissions once and spend it at whatever pace you like, with no expiry and no auto-renewal. Spam protection is unusually complete for the price, with Botpoison, reCAPTCHA, hCaptcha and Cloudflare Turnstile all supported, and the docs carry setup guides for more than twenty frameworks and site builders.

Pricing

The free tier covers 250 submissions across 10 forms with 5 team members. The paid bundle is a single $25 payment (listed at 50% off a $50 regular price) for 50,000 submissions, 100 forms and 50 team members. There is no recurring charge and no auto-renewal: the submissions do not expire, and when a bundle runs out you buy another. Integrations, email customisation and API access sit on the paid bundle.

Best for

Developers and small teams with bursty or unpredictable form volume, who would rather pay once for a large bundle than carry a monthly bill through the quiet months. Also the cheapest way to put a Notion or Google Sheets destination behind a static site's contact form.

Pros

  • Pay-once pricing is far cheaper than a subscription for low or uneven volume
  • Submissions never expire, so a quiet quarter costs nothing
  • Notion and Google Sheets destinations without a higher tier
  • Four spam-protection options including Turnstile and Botpoison

Cons

  • No form builder - you write and style the HTML yourself
  • Free tier is a one-off 250 submissions, not 250 per month
  • Integrations and API are unavailable until you buy a bundle

FAQ

Is Formspark really a one-time payment?

Yes. $25 buys a bundle of 50,000 submissions with no recurring charge and no auto-renewal. The submissions do not expire - you spend them at your own pace, and buy another bundle only when the first runs out.

Does Formspark work with a static site?

That is its main use. A static site has no server to receive a form post, so you point the form's action at a Formspark endpoint instead. The docs cover Next.js, Astro, Hugo, Jekyll, Webflow, WordPress and around twenty other setups.

Can Formspark send submissions to Notion?

Yes, Notion is one of its built-in destinations, alongside Google Sheets, Slack, Zapier, Make and plain webhooks. That combination is unusual at this price - most competitors gate Sheets behind a mid tier and skip Notion entirely.

How does Formspark handle spam?

It supports Botpoison, reCAPTCHA, hCaptcha and Cloudflare Turnstile, so you can pick between an invisible filter and a visible challenge. Spam protection is available on the free tier as well as the paid bundle.
